The landscape of Carlsbad is fortuned with three spectacular lagoons, considered sensitive ecosystems, that are sacred lands for bird watching and nature walks. Besides the many miles of beaches, hills and mesas, the city takes pride in its golf reputation. With ten courses, and plans to build another, golfers flock not only for the game and yearly national tournament, but also to the many manufacturers of equipment and clothing, including professional brands TaylorMade and Callaway Golf. Worth mentioning is the renowned Aviara Golf Course, Four Seasons Resort, and La Costa Resort & Spa, which feature two full courses and plenty of wealth.
